José Luis Jerez Cerna (born June 26, 1978) is a chilean midfielder, who currently plays for Colo-Colo in Chile. Jerez began his career with another chilean club Unión Española. His debut for Unión Española came in 1996. During the season of 1998, Jerez was loaned out to chilean division b club Ñublense. He returned the following season to Unión Española where he spent six years appearing in 146 games and scoring 30 goals. In January of 2006, Colo-Colo coach Claudio Borghi decided to acquire Jerez to play midfield.
