José Carlos da Costa Araújo, best known as Zé Carlos (born in Rio de Janeiro, February 7, 1966) was a former Brazilian football (soccer) player in goalkeeper role.
In career (1983–2000) he played for Americano de Campos, Flamengo, Rio Branco, Cruzeiro, Vitória, XV de Piracicaba, América and Tubarão. He played also in Portugal for squads Vitória Guimarães, Farense Felgueiras and F.C. Pedras Rubras. For the Brazilian team he played two matches in 1989 and was in roster for the 1990 FIFA World Cup, but never played in any games.
