Jorge Sapelli is a Uruguayan political figure. He was Vice President of Uruguay 1972-1973. When President Juan María Bordaberry decided with the Military Forces to disolve the Parliament on June 1973, Sapelli resigned, as he did not agree with this decision that began the long dictatorship in Uruguay (1973-1985)
