Jorge Batista aka Braziu Xplozian is a DJ, percussionist, and music producer. He began performing under the name Braziu Xplozian in 2002.

Jorge Batista was born in Brazil, Bahia in 1970, He has been touring around the World from 1991 as a Capoeira performer and dancer, initially with the Archaous Circus for two years on the European Tour. In 1997 Jorge met Felix Buxton and they have now worked together for seven years. Jorge has worked with Basement Jaxx as the band percussionist 1999-2003 all over the world, including Europe and UK.

Jorge Batista is very well known percussionist and DJ in night clubs, bars, private events, music & arts Festivals, exhibitions, and charity events with the Brazilian VIBE! Famous venues included Vibe Bar @ Brick lane and T BAR-Tea Building ,Tate Britain Gallery, London. As a dancer and organizer of Capoeira Performances he worked with Viramundo Dance Group at UK and European Music Festivals, Carnivals and Cultural events. He worked with Marc ALMOND on to the single Black Kiss in 1998. He performed on the Brits AWARDS in 2000 as well as Glastonbury Festival 2000/2001 with Basement Jaxx. He is a vocal for Bingo – Bongo Basement Jaxx in 2000.
Jorge Batista plays in Clubs, Bars, . He collaborates with resident DJs as well as Visual and Performing Artists.
[edit] Braziu Xplozian
In 2001 Jorge collaborated in releasing the first single Afrofiesta remixed by Basement Jaxx. In 2003, his solo mix hit Berimbau remixed by Felix Buxton was released by Atlantic Jaxx. Presently Braziu Xplosian is working on a few mixes for producing the band’s first album.
braziu Xplozian (Brazilian Explosion) first performed in 2002 with Jorge Batista as percussionist with guest DJs, SOLO DJ, Percussionist and Music producer.
His style is characterized by a hype vibe mix of Latin house, Brazilian funk, funk house, drum & bass, break beats, jazz, and natural sounds.

In 2005 braziu Xplozian is planning a European Tour which will include Bulgaria. The visit of the braziu Xplosian in Bulgaria will be also a part of the 14th Process – Space International Festival for Contemporary Arts 2005, taking place every year in Balchik, Bulgaria.
