Jorge Andrade

Jorge Andrade (pron. IPA: ['ʒɔɾʒ(ɨ) ɐ̃'dɾad(ɨ)]), full name Jorge Manuel Almeida Gomes de Andrade, OIH, (born April 9, 1978) is a football defender who plays for RC Deportivo La Coruña and is one of Coruña's star players.
Acclaimed as one of the best centre-backs in the world, Andrade has been courted by numerous clubs on different occasions, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, Valencia and Inter Milan. Having been part of the Portugal national team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2004, Andrade has established himself as an excellent defender at international level. He has scored 3 goals in 45 caps as of November 2006.
