Jordi Hereu i Boher (born June 14, 1965 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) is the current Mayor of Barcelona. He's married with two children and holds a MBA in Business Administration.

He started his career in marketing and was later involved in intermodal logistics activities for the Port of Barcelona [1]. He was successively appointed to managing the Districts of Sant Andreu, Les Corts and Gràcia at Barcelona City Council. Jordi Hereu became City Councillor for Security and Transportation on 2003. On August 30, 2006, he was designated as future Mayor of Barcelona, replacing Joan Clos after the latter was appointed as the Minister for Industry. Jordi Hereu took office on September 7. His term will be short, since elections are due on May 2007.
