From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is where politicians used to lambaste opponents and court voters with speeches accompanied by variety shows featuring movie stars and celebrities. All that came to an end with the bloody bombing of the Liberal Party meeting in the days leading to Marcos' imposition of martial law. After that, Plaza Miranda joined the general decline of the inner city. It was only recently redeveloped into a piazza-like square with Roman-style arches and urns. Next to it is another renovated landmark, the Arsenio Lacson Underpass. Property Information
