I am Jon, a graduate of the University of Portsmouth, I studied BSc (Hons) Environmental Hazards. I am currently living permanently in Portsmouth, England but grew up in Milton Keynes, England. My dissertation was titled Atlantic Hurricane Season 2005, Anomaly or Trend? My favourite subject's are Geography, History, Photography and Commerical and Military Shipping. I maintain my own photographic website [1] as a portfolio in my spare time which focuses mainly on Shipping seen in the Solent around Portsmouth including a large number of photos from the International Fleet Review 2005 and the Festival of the Sea 2005. (Of which 95% of the ships participating were photographed)

I joined Wikipedia on 16th April 2006 when I noticed a factual error on an article of my favourite subject and have been reading Wiki ever since. My favourite things to do on Wiki are to correct spelling and grammar errors. I specialize in the area of naval and merchant shipping and the United Kingdom in general.
