[edit] History
Jonathan Randall and Tammy Winslow met when Jonathan came to Springfield as JB. After meeting Tammy, whom JB knew had just broken up with her boyfriend, JB made it a point to flirt with her. At the same time, Sandy Foster, who was believed to be Reva's son, Jonathan, was having flashbacks of his friend, the real Jonathan Randall, flashbacks centered around Jonathan's death when he fell from a cliff, despite Sandy's attempt to rescue him. Soon, receiving harassing e-mails regarding Jonathan's death. Days later, when Tammy's boyfriend had finally left, JB took advantage of the situation and attempted to seduce Tammy, knowing full well she was his cousin. For JB was none other than Jonathan Randall himself! However, no one knew this, especially not Tammy. Luckily, the pair was interrupted by Reva, who took an immediate dislike to JB. Later, a dangerous JB returned to Tammy, but she decided to wait to have sex. Not long after, Sandy was seriously injured after being struck by a car. Comatose and in need of a transplant, JB menacingly snuck into Sandy's room, telling his "friend" that he was there. At the same time that he was playing his dangerous game with Tammy, he was watching Reva, who he continued to rub the wrong way, and was there when she finally learned that Sandy Foster was not her biological son. In the meantime, while Sandy was recovering from liver transplant surgery (when Reva donated part of her liver to save his life), he received several visits from a very menacing Jonathan, facing the man who purposely left him to die. Wanting to make sure Sandy remained unconscious, a devious Jonathan fed him morphine drips. At the same time, Reva was trying to locate information on Jonathan. Believing the information could be in Sandy's laptop, Reva asked Tammy to get it. But Jonathan volunteered to get it for Tammy, and unbeknownst to everyone planted a letter that implied that Sandy had killed Jonathan. In the meantime, Tammy was falling more and more under JB's spell and the night he planned to seduce her, he and Tammy went to visit Sandy, who was shocked to see Jonathan alive and well. With Tammy out of the room Jonathan not-so-subtly revealed to Sandy that he and Tammy were going to have sex. Then to make sure nothing went wrong with his plan, he bound Sandy, disconnected his phone and call button, and even had a nurse drug Reva who was being released that day. So, that night, Jonathan went ahead with his diabolical plan--he seduced a virginal Tammy in order to get revenge on his family. Although Sandy was finally able to contact Reva, by the time they found Jonathan and Tammy it was too late; they'd made love. A day later, Reva arrived home to find Jonathan waiting for her. When Jonathan proudly admitted he slept with Tammy. Reva was furious and disgusted. However, when he revealed that he slept with Tammy to hurt Reva more than she hurt him, Reva began to see that she had a hand in making her son a bitter, angry, and damaged person. Tammy was devastated by the events and shunned Jonathan, who always managed to find a way to get to her.
Later, that spring, Tammy informed Jonathan that she was no longer afraid of him, but she determined to keep him from coming between her Aunt Reva and Uncle Josh. As they argued, Jonathan spotted a father angrily berating his little boy. Reminded of his own childhood, he angrily confronted the violent dad. When a security guard intervened, Tammy came to Jonathan’s defense. The next day, Reva informed Jonathan that he had to move out of the house. Although he tried to manipulate her into changing her mind but for the first time, he was unsuccessful at getting under her skin. Later, now living at the Springfield Inn, Jonathan became a hero by saving Tammy's life in a fire. Later, Tammy challenged Jonathan to do something positive with his life, and deciding to reinsert himself into the family, Jonathan asked Josh for a job in the family business.
About a month later, Jonathan started to receive mysterious and disturbing phone calls. Darla, the woman who had been calling Jonathan, later showed up in Springfield and warned Jonathan that he’d better deliver the information about Reva he promised or he’d suffer the consequences. Soon after, Josh finally decided to give Jonathan a job at Lewis Construction. Fearful of Darla’s next move, Jonathan turned down the offer but changed his mind when he saw Darla hone in on Tammy. Later, Jonathan receives another ominous warning that made him fear for Reva’s safety. Meanwhile, Tammy continued to befriend Jonathan, who confessed to her that he suffered from dyslexia and later confessed to her that his trust fund was gone.
Later, Jonathan was dealing with issues stemming from the abuse he suffered as a child at the hands of his adoptive father, Alfred Randall, who came to Springfield under the alias of "Nate." Nate continually told Jonathan that the Lewis' would never accept him and that he was a nobody. The pressure that Nate had been putting on Jonathan finally became too much to bear and he unloaded months of pent up aggression on Tammy. In an emotional exchange, Tammy admitted that she was inexplicably drawn to Jonathan. When a desperate Jonathan then reached out to her, he was stung when she revealed that she'd always choose Sandy over him. Enraged and humiliated, Jonathan headed for the bar where he targeted an unknown girl and introduced himself as Sandy. He then brought her to Sandy's room and later when she was getting dressed, he pocketed her earrings and left them for Tammy to find.
Jonathan then stole money from Lewis Construction, foiling Nate's plans to get a hold of that money. It didn't take long for everyone to realize Jonathan had the money and Nate tried to pressure Jonathan to give him the money by pushing a water-phobic Jonathan, into the water. Luckily, Tammy came across a drowning Jonathan and saved him. Far from grateful, Jonathan believed that she should have just let him drown and walked off. With everyone looking for Jonathan, he finally showed up at Tammy's doorstep asking for a place to hide. Tammy offered to let him take a shower, but then seemingly betrayed him by telling Reva where he was. When Reva and others arrived, Jonathan, attempted to tell everyone that his adopted father (who was in town masquerading as a bar owner named Nate) murdered his adoptive mother, Marissa. After being accused of helping to cause Marissa's death, Jonathan angrily took off but came back to Tammy's to confront her about the way she gave him away.
During the discussion, Tammy insisted that she was only trying to help him. The moment, like so many others, became passionate the pair kissed. Suddenly realizing what she was doing, Tammy pulled back and ran off. Later, when Tammy again pleaded with Jonathan to return the money. but he just lashed out at her and warned her to stay away from him. Later, as Sandy and Tammy were having a romantic morning together, a tipsy Jonathan interrupted them. When Sandy and Jonathan got into a heated discussion over Tammy, Jonathan nearly revealed that he and Tammy kissed. Later, Sandy left to handle some business and Tammy tried yet again to get through to Jonathan. When he cruelly rebuffed her, Tammy smacked him hard across the face, leaving Jonathan shaken. When Sandy returned, he saw that Jonathan intended to drive drunk and took his car keys from him. As Sandy drove him home, an angry Jonathan grabbed the wheel and the car careened out of control. Unhurt, the pair got into a heated argument about Tammy, and Jonathan agreed to return the money in exchange for leaving town forever. Unfortunately that same day, another attempt by Reva to trap Nate resulted in Tammy getting kidnapped. Shortly after, Sandy found Jonathan holed up in a hotel just out of Springfield and asked him to help Tammy. Although Jonathan refused at first, he had a change of heart and went to the docks and told Nate he'd go with him in exchange for Tammy's freedom.Though Tammy made an emotional pitch for Jonathan to stay and say goodbye to his father for good, Jonathan couldn't bring himself to leave Nate’s side. He’s forced to be deliberately cruel to Tammy in order to get her off the boat. Heartbroken, Tammy gave Jonathan her locket and left. Jonathan evetually escaped and Nate was killed.
In the meantime Tammy was continuing her relationship with Sandy and, hoping to locate some of Sandy's family for a surprise party, asked Jonathan if he knew anyone from Sandy's past. All Jonathan could remember though was that Sandy had no friends--although he did get a phone call once from someone named Fallon. A few weeks later, Jonathan tracked down Tammy to a small town where she was looking for clues about Sandy’s past. After speaking with a minister who told them he could show them Sandy Foster, the pair was confused when the minister brought them to a tombstone with the name Sandy Foster on it. Tammy didn’t know what to think about her enigmatic boyfriend and Jonathan offered her a rare showing of support.
A few days later, Jonathan was shocked to learn from Tammy that Cassie’s baby was born. Knowing that was impossible, Jonathan almost told Cassie and Tammy that that couldn't be Dinah's child, but upon seeing how happy the baby made everyone, he backed out. However, he did confront Edmund and demanded to know where the baby came from and where was the missing Dinah. Unfortunately, Edmund failed to answer either of these questions, prompting Jonathan to look for Dinah himself. Although Jonathan came close to finding the missing Dinah, he didn't when he was called away by Tammy. Tammy railed at Jonathan for trying to find Dinah and bring her back to Springfield where she could once again ruin Cassie’s life. The argument lead Jonathan to blurt his feelings for Tammy and before she could respond, he pulled her into a kiss. The impulsive kiss heated up when he confessed that he didn’t want to fight the attraction between them anymore. Though deeply tempted to give in to her own feelings, she resisted and pushed him away. Later, Jonathan received a note from Dinah telling him not to look for her.
In the meantime, Tammy walked into the Outskirts bar and was not happy to see Jonathan and Ava in close proximity. Jonathan played on her jealousy but Ava wasn’t happy about being used and called Jonathan on his motives. Ava then started talking about how she’d like to be in love one day but she shut down when Jonathan tried to get more details. Soon after, Jonathan met Tammy at the Jessup farm where she confessed that Sandy was going to propose and that she intended to say yes. The heat between Tammy and Jonathan was undeniable, however and though she tried to fight it, they begin to kiss. The couple then began to make love, but were interrupted by an urgent call for Tammy telling her Sandy had been electrocuted. Feeling extremely guilty, Tammy told Jonathan that she could not give in to her feelings for him. Although Jonathan tried to convince her that they couldn't deny their feelings, Tammy was resolved to stick by Sandy.
Meanwhile, Jonathan had done some digging on Fallon. Although he found out who he was, he didn't find out his connection to Sandy. However, he caught a lucky break when he spotted Fallon in Springfield at Cedars. Jonathan followed him, only to accidentally hear Tammy’s emotional speech to Sandy. Heartbroken, Jonathan then ran into Fallon and tried to get information about Sandy’s past. Afterwards, Jonathan visited Sandy and warned that he would get to the bottom of what he was hiding. Immediately after, Jonathan was shocked to see none other than Ava conversing with Fallon on the roof! When Fallon left, Jonathan was very curious as to her connection to Fallon. After being badgered for an answer Ava finally blurted out the truth--She was Sandy's wife! She then told Jonathan that Sandy's real name was not Sandy Foster and he abandoned her after he'd married her. Ava admitted that she'd been looking for him ever since and confessed that she still had feelings for Sandy. Though Ava begged him to keep it a secret, Jonathan went right to Tammy. However, when she immediately told him that there was nothing he could say to make her change her mind about Sandy, he surprisingly pulled back. Jonathan then suggested to Ava that perhaps they should both just sit back and things unfold on their own. In her case, that meant signing the divorce papers since by setting Sandy free, she'd have a fighting chance of winning him back. Several days later, after Jonathan and Tammy had another steamy encounter; Jonathan confessed to Reva that he was in love with Tammy. Later, Jonathan overheard Reva advised Tammy to go through with her plans to marry Sandy. Hurt and angry, Jonathan confronted Reva, who tried to discourage his interest, pointing out that it would tear the family apart. Jonathan was determined to be with Tammy.
Trying another tactic, Reva tried to convince him that Sandy was the more stable choice for Tammy. Jonathan merely told Reva he had never asked her for anything but he wanted her help right now to win Tammy, leaving Reva conflicted. Later, Jonathan stumbled upon Blake selling a house, and inspired by Reva’s suggestion to change, he showed interest in buying. But, Blake refused to sell the house to him, amplifying his fears that he would never be good enough for Tammy. When he learned that Sandy had bought the house instead, and angry Jonathan destroyed the inside. Finally the night before the wedding, Jonathan dared Tammy to admit that she really loved him, not Sandy. Tammy denied it and then threw herself at Jonathan for a scorching kiss, announcing that she wanted a last fling to get her ex-lover out of her system. Jonathan though wasn’t moved by her declaration and demanded that Tammy make a public choice, him or Sandy. Tammy chose Sandy and Jonathan stormed off. Despite Reva's pleas that he stay away from the wedding, Jonathan came, certain that Tammy would call it off. Although Tammy did end up going through with the wedding, immediately after Sandy was arrested for bigamy! Apparently he never did divorce Ava, after all.
Distraught, Tammy ran out of the church and came face to face with Jonathan who whisked her away. Tammy and Jonathan’s escape from her fiasco of a wedding took them to Towers, where they had their own private reception as they apologized for hurting each other in the past. They then took off for her honeymoon cabin in the woods, where Jonathan carried the bride over the threshold and their desire for one another heated up. Unfortunately, they were interrupted again by Tammy's cell phone. Although Jonathan wanted to ignore it, Tammy insisted on settling her past with Sandy before moving forward. Afterwards, Jonathan convinced Tammy to run away with him. Although she agreed, he was heartbroken when she disappeared and apparently went to see Sandy. Thinking she'd chosen Sandy over him again, an angry Jonathan refused to take her calls. Convinced he’d lost Tammy, he broke into her empty dream-house and prepared to set it on fire.
Only Tammy’s arrival and confession that she couldn’t imagine spending her life with anyone but him, kept Jonathan from doing something drastic. Unfortunately, the torch he was holding accidentally dropped and ended up burning the house down after all. Later, Jonathan was disconcerted when Tammy refused to tell anyone they were involved. Thinking she was ashamed of him, he confronted her only to learn she wasn't ashamed--she was afraid. To demonstrate that there's only one way to deal with fear, head on, Jonathan jumped off the pier into the water. After Tammy pulled him out, she agreed to give the courage thing a shot. As they began to make love in the boathouse, Sandy called Jonathan’s cell pretending to be the police and summoned him to the station to discuss the fire. At the station, Jonathan vehemently denied having anything to do with it, but later told Reva if he had to confess in order to protect Tammy, he would. He got his chance when the police informed him that a witness had seen a dark haired man and a blonde haired woman running from the scene. Jonathan confessed to setting the fire, but stressed that he was alone. However, Reva provided an alibi stating that Jonathan was with her at the time the fire was set. Afterwards at Cassie's Christmas party, Jonathan met Tammy outside the Jessup farm and the two began to make love in the barn.
Unfortunately, they were discovered by the entire family. Cassie freaked, assuming her nephew was attacking her daughter but was stunned when Tammy announced it was consensual. Although Cassie gave Tammy a choice between her family or Jonathan--Tammy chose Jonathan. That night, Jonathan urged Tammy to call Cassie, put all the blame on him and asked to come home. But Tammy refused, reminding him that they were in this together. Although the pair planned on getting out of town, a flat tired prevented that and they were later surprised with an invitation to Reva's house for Christmas. The day after, Tammy publicly (and very loudly) announced to the world that she loved Jonathan. just then, though, the cops arrived. Thanks to Cassie, Jonathan under arrest for arson. When Tammy spoke up that she was there, she was arrested as well.
Jonathan spent the early days of 2006 in jail since Jeffrey (by a request from Cassie) had the judge deny him bail. Thanks to an impassioned plea from Reva, though, bail was granted. The condition of the bail was that Jonathan take anger management classes, which he did, grudgingly. However, immediately after his first class, Jonathan saw Sandy holding Tammy, pleading with her to go back to him, and Jonathan angrily warned him to let go of her or he'd kill him. Sandy provoked Jonathan into attacking him, but Tammy’s pleas compelled him to pull back, and Jonathan let Sandy to pummel him. The couple then threw Sandy out. A little later, they learned that Jonathan has been evicted from his apartment. Luckily, Reva offered him a place to stay with her and Tammy- but on her terms-which meant separate rooms for Jonathan and Tammy and no sex. A little later, Tammy and Jonathan finally had an honest conversation about what being cousins really meant to their relationship and decided that having one grandma in common didn’t matter and, to prove it, the pair went out on their first ever real date. Unfortunately, while at Towers, they ran into Cassie and Jeffrey. Though Jonathan urged Tammy not to let her mother get to her, but, with Cassie glaring across the room, Jonathan cracked and decided to confront her. He very politely asked her to dance and on the dance floor they, while appearing civil, argued about who was hurting Tammy.
That night, Jonathan snuck into the farm to retrieve Tammy's things and came across RJ's collage which contained a photo of Richard and Jeffrey. Curious, Jonathan pumped Olivia for details and learned that Josh had a file on Jeffrey he hadn’t yet shown Cassie. Jonathan stole Josh’s key and stole the file. He then hightailed it over to Cassie's and threatened to make public what was in the file unless she agreed to accept him and Tammy. Cassie, who had no clue what was in the file, refused to be bullied and dared him to do it. When Tammy caught the two of them together, Jonathan lied that he was just trying to convince Cassie to give him another chance. Cassie backed up his story.
Meanwhile, Jonathan and Tammy's trial date had come. Although the DA's office was going after both of them for arson, Jeffrey convinced Assistant DA, Doris Wolfe to drop the charges against Tammy. Her job was made easier when Jonathan, in an effort to save Tammy, stated in court that Tammy had nothing to do with it. Although things were looking bleak for Jonathan, he was unexpectedly saved from prosecution when Sandy testified to accidentally setting the fire himself. Soon after, Cassie told Tammy about Jonathan's blackmail attempt. Tammy confronted Jonathan who not only admitted it but declared that he'd do it again. He reminded her that he was willing to flatten anyone who might get in the way of the two of them. Later, Jonathan learned that Tammy had been expelled from college because of the arson charges and attempted to talk the dean into letting her back in.
Unfortunately, Jonathan's persuasive arguments came out as intimidation and the dean wouldn’t budge. That is for Jonathan; Sandy had no problem getting the dean to allow Tammy back in. Several days later, Jonathan spotted Sandy spying on him and Tammy through the window but Sandy claimed he was just waiting for them to leave because he didn't want things to be awkward. Jonathan didn't believe Sandy's lies for a second. Later, when Jonathan learned that the bar had been raided three times for serving kids with fake ID's, he was positive that Sandy was behind it. Although he confronted Sandy, he had no proof. Later, Jonathan found a Valentine's Day card addressed to Tammy from Sandy and stormed over to Sandy's, accusing him of still wanting Tammy. When Sandy didn’t deny it, Jonathan threatened that if Sandy so much as came near Tammy, Jonathan would kill him. In the meantime, Jonathan and Tammy had decided to get their own place but were continually being turned away. After finally deciding to live in the back room at Outskirts, Jonathan confronted Sandy and accused him of keeping him and Tammy from finding a decent place to live. Sandy gleefully confirmed it. A few days later, Sandy began stalking Tammy and called Jonathan, taunting him about it. Jonathan flew off the handle, but Tammy handled the situation by confronting Sandy and asking him to leave her alone. When sandy tried to shatter Tammy's faith in Jonathan by playing a recording of Jonathan threatening him, Tammy refused to be scared and got Sandy to give her the tape.
Several days later, Sandy snuck into Jonathan's car. As Jonathan was driving, Sandy popped up and announced that he'd planted a bomb in Jonathan's car, set to go off when the car stopped. Terrified but seeing no choice, Jonathan stopped the car as they were nearing a railroad crossing. Nothing happened and Sandy jumped out and laughed at his rattling of Jonathan. Later, an angry Jonathan got his revenge by trashing Sandy's room. Later, Jonathan sent Tammy a mysterious note telling him to meet him at the Springfield Inn however she never showed. Concerned, he went looking for her and found her struggling with Sandy. Jonathan rescued Tammy, without resorting to violence, then took her home while he went off on a mission. He returned later, looking ragged, but told Tammy he wasn't with Sandy. Tammy believed him, and the pair exchanged private vows to always be together, and finally make love. Afterwards, Jonathan assured her that Sandy would never be a problem for the two of them again. Jonathan left for a moment, and Frank arrived, needing to talk to him - about Sandy. Seemed Sandy called the police station claiming that Jonathan threatened him and Sandy was afraid for his life. Tammy left and Jonathan returned to find Frank. After talking with Frank, Jonathan found out that Tammy had gone after Sandy and went to find her. To get away from Frank, Jonathan confessed to Sandy’s murder then knocked out an officer and ran off. He came upon Tammy and Sandy on the edge of a cliff just as Tammy was offering to run away with Sandy (to protect Jonathan). But, as soon as Tammy looked at Jonathan, Sandy realized he’s the one she loved. He grabbed Tammy and warned Jonathan that if he took another step, they’d both going over the cliff. Jonathan begged Sandy to let Tammy go, and Sandy agreed - as long as Jonathan took her place. Jonathan agreed and the pair faced off, just like they did years earlier. A fistfight ensued which left Jonathan holding Sandy by the collar, but Reva’s arrival distracted him long enough for Sandy to get free and gain the upper hand. As he was about to toss Jonathan off the cliff, Reva tried to get through by reminding Sandy that she loved him like a son once, and loved him still. But Sandy was determined to finish Jonathan off so Tammy threw herself at Sandy to save Jonathan, but ended up pushing too hard and sent Sandy careening off the cliff to his death.
That same night, Cassie tricked Tammy and locked her in the morgue with Sandy’s body. Alone with the boy she once loved, Tammy remembered the good Sandy. At that point, Jonathan came to the rescue and Tammy asked him to take her back to the cliffside. There, Tammy sobbed that everyone is trying to tell her it was Jonathan’s fault the three of them ended up on that cliff, but Tammy stated she’s really the one to blame - because she couldn’t choose between the two men in her life soon enough! To alleviate her guilt, Jonathan finally admitted that he was the one who sabotaged Sandy's divorce and let him be arrested as a bigamist--thus all of this was his fault. Horrified that he put events in motion that led to her killing Sandy, Tammy railed against Jonathan and left. Although Jonathan asked Reva to back him up, she angered him by telling Tammy that she thinks the pair should stay apart after all. Desperate to get Tammy back, Jonathan entered in a deal with Lizzie--help him get Tammy back; he'd help her get Coop back. Later, Jonathan hid in the back seat of Tammy’s car to talk to her. Although Tammy admitted she would never stop loving or wanting him, she didn’t like the person that loving him was turning her into. After driving away without him, she got a restraining order against Jonathan. When Jonathan defied the order in order to talk to Tammy, he was promptly arrested. Then a surprising person bailed him out—a tipsy Lizzie. Lizzie bailed Jonathan out wanting to raise some hell. Jonathan agreed and the two later ended up seeing Coop and Ava on Main Street. After a confrontation between Jonathan and Coop, Lizzie and Jonathan ended up at Outskirts where they had a one night stand. Afterwards, Lizzie suggested that he help her get Coop back and she'd help him win back Tammy.
The next morning, Jonathan got a shock when Tammy arrived at his door saying she’d changed her mind—she wanted to be with him. However, Jonathan was a little upset that she’d left in the first place and refused to take her back. He even told her to take her stuff and move out. As Tammy was getting her stuff, Tammy found a scarf (Lizzie’s) that didn’t belong to her. Jonathan dismissed it as a lost and found item, and then dismissed Tammy. A few days later, Jonathan had a change of heart and took her back. In the meantime, Cassie shocked Tammy and Jonathan by agreeing to be tolerant of their relationship. Meanwhile, Lizzie asked Jonathan to help her get rid of Ava, but again he refused. He did suggest that to get Ava away from Coop, she needed to get rid of Coop, not Ava. Seized with an idea, Lizzie arranged for Coop to be offered the fellowship in England--thinking he'd leave town and Ava would find someone else. Unfortunately, that plan backfired with Coop asking Ava to go with him.
Furious, Lizzie called Jonathan and told him to meet with or she'd tell Tammy they had sex. Jonathan met her, and then menacingly warned her not to blackmail him because he'd fight back. Weeks later, Jonathan was stunned when Tammy told him she suspected Lizzie was pregnant. He confronted Lizzie who informed him that she already knew she was pregnant with Coop’s baby when they slept together. However, he wasn’t totally sure she was telling the truth. Later, there was more talk of babies when he discovered Tammy had been doing some research on genetics. She told him she discovered that since they’re only half-cousins the risk of defects in their children was very small. She then quickly reassured him that children were far off in their future. However, thinking about Lizzie, Jonathan wasn’t so sure. Although he had serious doubts about how good a father he would be, he believed the child should be provided for. Unfortunately, he didn’t think Coop was doing a good job owing up to his responsibility and the two got in a fight with them ending up going through a glass window. Afterwards, Jonathan saw Lizzie in deep conversation with a high school girl named Ashlee. Suspicious, Jonathan approached Ashlee and invited her for coffee and learned she worked at an OB-GYN clinic.
Meanwhile, Ashlee told Jonathan she knew why he was with her – he’s trying to get dirt on Lizzie. She agreed to give him information if he wined and dined her publicly. Jonathan agreed, but when he planted a hot kiss on Ashlee, he also stole her keys to the clinic. Soon after, he broke in – only to be caught by Ashlee. She informed him she’d give him the dirt on Lizzie if he met her that night...and wore a tux. It turned out, Ashlee was taking Jonathan to her high school prom, which was held on Main Street. While Jonathan tried getting Ashlee drunk so she’d talk, the pair was spotted by Lizzie who quickly realized Jonathan was pumping Ashlee for information. In the meantime, Thinking quickly,Lizzie had a teacher phone Tammy and tell her Jonathan was out with an underage girl. Tammy came running and Jonathan fed her a story about how he went to the prom with the girl because she was getting picked on and he felt sorry for her. Later, Jonathan found Lizzie at the clinic attempting to shred her file. Again, Lizzie insisted that the baby wasn’t his. Days later, a desperate Lizzie ordered Jonathan to help her snare Coop or she'd tell Tammy they slept together.
Meanwhile, Ashlee came to Outskirts and ended up buying drinks with a phony ID. Unfortunately, she wound up drunk in front of her mother, DA Doris Wolfe, who promptly had the bar closed down and Jonathan arrested. Tammy asked Cassie if she and Jonathan could move in. Cassie says yes, as long as they slept in separate rooms. However, when she learned Jonathan bribed RJ to leave the room so they could make out, she rescinded the offer. Meanwhile, Jonathan learned that Wolfe was investigating Lewis Construction as well. After assuring Reva he’d fix it, Jonathan demanded that Lizzie lie and say she gave Ashlee the illegal booze, or he’d go to Coop with news of their one-night stand Later, Jonathan was shocked when Reva told him she’d overheard Lizzie telling her mother he was the father of her baby! Despite Reva’s insistence that he needed to claim the child, Jonathan was set to walk away since he was convinced he’d only ruin the child’s life. Hot off his argument with Reva, Jonathan went to his and Tammy's. While Tammy was in the shower, he got a visitor--Ashlee who blurted out that she liked him. When Jonathan laughed, Ashlee threatened him with what she knew about Lizzie's baby. Jonathan threw her out after he menacingly warned her not to threaten him. The last person who came between him and Tammy wound up dead. Undeterred, Ashlee went to the Beacon again and before Jonathan had a chance to throw her out, she gave Tammy Lizzie's file, telling her to ask Jonathan about it. Luckily at that moment, Lizzie covered by telling Tammy that Jon was using information in the file to blackmail her into helping with testimony in Ashlee's case against Jonathan. Luckily, Lizzie suddenly burst in and spun a story that Jon was blackmailing her to help him with testimony in Ashlee's case against him since he knew she went to the clinic to have an abortion.
Afterwards, Jonathan and Lizzie argued about her lying to him about the baby. Days later, Beth bribed Jonathan to stay away from Lizzie's baby. However, Josh found the check and told his leaving town with Tammy would hurt Reva and Cassie and so he tore it up. Soon after, Reva set it up so Jonathan would be stuck in Lizzie's room at Cedars while she had her sonogram. Despite himself, Jonathan was touched, especially when he learned it was a girl. Suddenly, Jonathan asked where Coop was and then asked if he'd take care of the kid. Lizzie assured Jonathan that Coop was a great guy and would be a great father. Later, Jonathan went to Ava's and saw her and Coop about to make love. Furious, he pulled Coop away from Ava and yelled that Coop didn't deserve to be a father. He then ordered him to do right by Lizzie or else and noted how ironic it was that he was the one trying to be the good guy and Coop was the selfish one. That same day, Jonathan told his mother that Lizzie was having a girl. Reva tried again to get him to claim his child but Jonathan insisted because of his rotten childhood he'd be a rotten father. Besides, it would ruin his relationship with Tammy. During the argument, Reva collapsed and Jonathan took her to Cedars after pocketing the stuff that had fallen out of her purse. At the hospital, Jonathan dug through his pockets and found medication to counteract the symptoms of chemotherapy. Realizing his mother had cancer, he confronted her. Although she denied it at first, she admitted it was true. Jonathan could barely hold back the tears but got angry when Reva admitted she was keeping it a secret from Josh. Jonathan called her a hypocrite for demanding he tell the truth about his baby when she wouldn't even tell her family about her cancer. Jonathan threatened to tell Josh himself but Reva said she'd tell Josh when he opened up about the baby. A few days later, Jonathan helped Reva by shaving her head (since it was already falling out in clumps) As a thank you she gave him a sonogram of his daughter that she'd snatched from the hospital. Later, Reva collapsed from the flu and was rushed to Cedars. Refusing to let them call Josh, she had them contact Jonathan. As she weakly lay there, Reva begged Jonathan to acknowledge Lizzie's baby. Thinking that Reva might never get the chance to meet her grandchild, he took off – but not before finding Billy in the hospital to fill him in on Reva's condition.
Knowing Lizzie was at Towers getting ready to marry Coop, Jonathan rushed there. Though Beth hired someone specifically to keep him out, Jonathan barreled in and announced that he was the father of Lizzie's baby! Although Lizzie tried to claim that he'd raped her, no one believed her, especially after Jonathan gently took care of Lizzie when she fainted. At the wedding was Tammy who was shaken and refused to talk to him. The next day, Jonathan found Tammy at Cassie's and tried to explain. During the discussion, Tammy realized she was partly to blame since she had broken up with him. Later, Jonathan was upset to learn that Reva checked herself out of the hospital since he only confessed because he thought she was on her deathbed. Reva was proud of him for doing the right thing, but all Jonathan cared about now was Tammy. He then pointed out that since he told the truth, she had to tell Josh about her cancer. Reva tried to argue that she needed to protect Josh but Jonathan didn't buy it. He told her that so far her "protection" caused him to confess his fatherhood, Tammy to break up with him, and pushed Josh away. Jonathan then angrily stormed out and sulked on the porch. When Reva followed, he tearfully voiced his fear that she wasn't going to make it. Reva promised that she'd do her best to stick around. A few weeks later, someone mysteriously set up a meeting between Jonathan and Tammy at the Lighthouse. Although Jonathan tried to convince Tammy that they belonged together; she needed more time. When she left, the person who set up the meeting arrived--Alan Spaulding. Alan was there to ensure that Jonathan stayed out of that baby's life. When Alan suggested that Jonathan was less suited at fatherhood than he was, Jonathan agreed and stated he didn't want anything to do with Lizzie's baby. Then after implying that he used his connection in the DA's office to reopen Jonathan's bar that very morning, Alan promised to give Jonathan what he wanted--Miss Tammy Winslow. Alan then arranged for Jonathan to fly to his island villa where Alan met him days later. He offered a deal: If Jonathan relinquished all rights to Lizzie's baby he would have not only the villa, but would be set for life financially. As for Tammy, Alan sent her text message in Jonathan’s name asking her to meet him here (and provided a ticket at the airport) Jonathan had one condition—Reva would be able to see her grandchild any time she wanted. Alan agreed then left. Afterwards, Tammy arrived. Jonathan told her that he left because he had to clear his head and figure out a way to get her back. Tammy asked him repeatedly if he’d come to a decision about the baby but Jonathan kept insisting that all that mattered was her and him. When Tammy asked whose villa they were in, Jonathan lied and told her he bought it using the bar as collateral. When Tammy brought up the baby again, saying that she would never have him choose between her and his daughter, Jonathan quickly changed the subject.
The next day, Jonathan returned to Springfield and talked to Reva. Again, she tried to persuade him to acknowledge his daughter. Their phone conversation was overheard by Alan who, believing Reva was talking Jonathan out of reneging on his parental rights, grabbed the phone out of Jonathan's hand and made it abundantly clear to Reva that she would have no part in their granddaughter's life. Unfortunately, Alan only ended up hurting himself. That very day, a furious Jonathan told Alan that he had already signed the document but since he insulted his mother all bets were off. Then he savagely tore up the document! Alan then tried to pressure Jonathan by arranging for the bank to foreclose on Outskirts and freezing his and Tammy's bank accounts. Alan also arranged for Tammy to be denied college admission. However, neither Jonathan nor Tammy would give in to Alan's threats. Later, Jonathan came across Lizzie at the hospital and had a close encounter with the baby, feeling it move for the first time. Soon after, Jonathan decided the perfect way to annoy Alan—-become close to Lizzie. Soon after he charmed Lizzie by giving her flowers, Jonathan received a call from Lizzie telling him Alan was keeping her locked up at home. Jonathan arrived and after bonding some with Lizzie, he confronted Alan about acting like a bully. While admitting that he was just using Lizzie to get to Alan, Jonathan stated that he would do anything to protect Tammy. A few days later, Jonathan helped Lizzie escape from her bedroom window. After driving off into the woods, he faked car trouble, then called Alan to taunt him and asked if he was ready to bargain. However, suddenly Lizzie was nowhere to be found. While looking for Lizzie, Jonathan was suddenly beaten up by a couple of Alan’s goons.
Finally, Jonathan came across Tammy who told him that she saw Lizzie on Main Street. When the pair found her, Lizzie informed them that she planned on giving their child up for adoption so she wouldn’t mess up everyone's lives. Though Jonathan thought that was perhaps for the best, Tammy was adamantly against it and insisted that Jonathan wouldn’t be able to live with that. Tammy then decided that in order to keep Lizzie away from Alan, she could move in with Jonathan and Tammy. Soon after, Lizzie disappeared! Realizing Alan kidnapped her, Jonathan crashed into the mansion window only to learn that Alan had brought Lizzie home to tell her was letting her move in the .penthouse with Tammy and Jonathan. Days later, Tammy was caught in a robbery and hospitalized. Jonathan immediately blamed Alan. Meanwhile, Jonathan got a call from Billy telling him that Reva had taken a turn for the worse and was in need of bone marrow. Lizzie overheard the conversation and told Jonathan about her own battle with cancer. Jonathan immediately went to Minnesota and discovered he was a match for Reva. Though Reva refused to et him since he was allergic to general anesthesia, Jonathan insisted on going ahead, anyway. After the procedure, Jonathan confessed to Reva that not only did he finally feel like her son, he finally wanted to be a part of his daughter’s life. When he returned, he discovered that Lizzie had decided to move back home so she wouldn't be trouble and Jonathan asked her to move back with him and Tammy. Later, he was shocked when Lizzie announced that she was going to Italy with Alan and her mother since she thought he and Tammy were using her for her money (when he told her Tammy's idea of them having a joint bank account). Angry, there was nothing Jonathan could do since Alan had a guard planted outside Tammy’s hospital room so he couldn’t follow Lizzie. Then who should walk in the door, but Lizzie? Apparently, Lizzie had lied to Alan in order to get him to the airport and arrested (after she planted a meat cleaver in his brief case) Later, Jonathan met with Lizzie's uncle Alan-Michael with a request--keep Alan from interfering in his life. Though he had no love for his father, Alan-Michael informed Jonathan that he was on his own--the Spaulding name and company came first.
When Jonathan threatened to publicly embarrass the Spauldings unless Alan backed off, Alan-Michael finally agreed to handle it. Unfortunately, Alan-Michael didn't really do anything. Meanwhile, Reva unexpectedly contacted Jonathan and demanded to know who the woman is that Josh was seeing. When Jonathan didn't answer right away, Reva speculated that it was Olivia--a notion that Jonathan didn't confirm or deny (since he had an inkling it was Cassie) In the meantime, Jonathan and Lizzie found themselves in an awkward position when he accidentally walked in on her in the shower. While Lizzie was mortified, Jonathan laughed it off and teased her that he could see her naked with his eyes shut if he wanted. As the two shared a laugh, Tammy walked in and suddenly became very cold toward Lizzie. Her jealousy was evident, and Jonathan assured Tammy that he loved her and would never cheat on her. Days later, Jonathan and Lizzie paid a visit to Reva. When Reva became angry that Lizzie knew her secret, Jonathan explained that Lizzie found out by accident. Lizzie calmed Reva by telling her she had been where she is, and knows how she felt. They then invited Reva to the sonogram. After, Jonathan bragged about how his DNA was good for making good babies and helping his mom, Reva was forced to admit that the procedure didn't work--she was still dying. Jonathan suddenly became enraged and blasted himself for not being able to do anything right. Reva tried to comfort him by telling how proud she was of him--for putting his life on the line for her and for taking responsibility for his baby. Afterwards, Jonathan had an emotional moment and Lizzie held him and comforted him. Meanwhile, Jonathan decided to get back at Alan by roughing up his goons. However, Tammy didn't approve of Jonathan sinking to Alan's level, besides it would make matters worse. Lizzie pretended to agree but when Tammy left the room to place a call, she gave Jonathan the name and address of the man Alan usually hired to rough people up. When Jonathan snuck out, Lizzie covered for him with Tammy stating that he went to get her ice cream. When Jonathan returned with bruises on his hand, Tammy accused him of going after Alan's henchman but Lizzie quickly covered and told her that Jonathan put his fist through a wall when he learned that Alan closed Lizzie's credit card. (Lizzie had left to get the ice cream herself) Days later, Beth asked Jonathan and Tammy for help in protecting Lizzie from Alan.
That same day, Jonathan asked Tammy to marry him and she accepted. As they decided to keep the news from Lizzie, a jittery Lizzie arrived and told them about a strange nursery that Alan had at the mansion. Though an upset Lizzie was convinced that Alan intended on keeping her a prisoner until her baby was born, both Tammy and Jonathan were skeptical that Alan would go that far. Although Lizzie claimed to have a picture on her cell phone, it was gone; she accused Alan of deleting it. When Jonathan accused Lizzie of just exaggerating, she got upset and left for a walk. When she stormed out, Tammy and Jonathan discussed whether her story could be true, with Jonathan deciding to at least check it out. That same day, Jonathan got a call from Billy who told him that Reva had an episode last night and that Jonathan should stay by the phone. Afterwards, Jonathan and Tammy went out looking for Lizzie and came across Josh and Cassie. After Cassie reacted warmly to the news that he and Tammy were engaged, she presented them with news of her own--she and Josh were seeing each other. Jonathan was floored and so angry he could barely talk or control his anger. After Jonathan stopped himself from saying too much, Josh asked why should he give a damn about Reva's feelings. Before Jonathan could answer, a shot rang out in Lizzie's room. The group ran in to find Lizzie with a gun and Alan lying on the floor. Lizzie stated that she heard someone in her room and demanded to know who it was. The intruder didn't answer and so she fired. Since there was no blood, it didn't take long for everyone to realize the gun was full of blanks. During the course of the argument, Alan apparently suffered a heart attack and taken to the hospital. At the hospital, Jonathan almost told Josh the truth about Reva but was stopped by a call from Billy.
Fortunately, the danger had passed; Reva was fine now. Though Jonathan wanted to tell Josh the truth, Billy implored him to continue keeping the secret. Meanwhile, Lizzie was quickly charged with attempted murder. At the station, Jonathan tried to stand up for Lizzie, by stating that he gave Lizzie the gun (he hadn't) Unfortunately that backfired when Doris Wolfe announced that that made him an accessory to second degree attempted murder. Lizzie tried to convince Gus and Doris that Alan was coming after her and her baby, and told them about the nursery at the mansion, and asked them all to come see it. When they arrive at the mansion, the "nursery" was a storage room. With Jonathan and Lizzie both in trouble, Jonathan suggested that he and Tammy get married right away. Though she pretended to like the idea, it was clear that Tammy was uncomfortable with the quickie ceremony in their room and they ended it. The next day, Jonathan worked with Ashlee to get her mother off his back. When Ashlee called Doris and told her she was going off with Jonathan for a week, a furious Doris demanded to speak with Jonathan and accused him of holding her daughter hostage.
Later, the pair walked into the police station where Doris was reaming into Tammy and Lizzie, trying to get them to tell her where Jonathan was. When Ashlee defended Jonathan, Doris told her he was just using her but Ashlee replied that this was as much her idea as his. At that point, Jonathan asked how it feels to have someone mess with her child since that is what she was doing by going after Lizzie. Jonathan tried to get her to drop the charges and accused her of having a vendetta against him. Suddenly, Alan arrived and shocked the group by arranging to have the charges dropped. Later, Lizzie was served with papers: Alan was taking her to court for being an unfit mother. Afterwards, Jon followed Alan out the balcony at the courthouse and goaded Alan by claiming to be after Lizzie's money. Jonathan's taunting enraged Alan who responded by strangling him. When Tammy, Lizzie, and Gus showed up, Alan quickly backed off. When Alan got hold of himself and left, Gus revealed to Jonathan that knew that Jonathan goaded Alan into losing control, planning on jumping off the balcony so it would look like an unstable Alan pushed him. After advising Jonathan against pulling a stunt like that again. Soon after, Jonathan, and the girls planned on running away, but Reva returned to town and convinced Jonathan to stay and fight Alan. To help, she gave him a complete dossier on Alan. Afterward, Jonathan got even more leverage when he saw Beth kissing Rick Bauer. After snapping some photos, Jonathan blackmailed Beth into helping him and Lizzie fight Alan. Beth gives Jonathan the receipts proving that Alan hired the men to follow lizzie and to set up the security nursery. At Lizzie's competency hearing,Alan insists the men were there as security and that he just wants to take care of her and her unborn child. The most damaging testimony comes from Tammy when she is forced to admit Lizzie's criminal confession that she knew it was her Grandfather who entered her room and she shot him anyway . It appears two nurses overheard this conversation. As it doesnt look good for Lizzie, her attorney, Mel is delivering her closing arguments, she mentions how alone Lizzie is because she's having a baby and she's not married and her family is turning their back on her,Jonathan has a brainstorm and whispers something into Tammy's ear. Tammy nods slightly, closing her eyes while Jonathan interupts and asks the judge for permission to speak. He is granted his time and states that he didnt want to have a kid with Lizzie, that it was only a one night stand, a mistake...but...he goes on to say that his feelings changed,he saw the sonogram and he wants to try to be the best Dad he can be and that he wants to prove that he's there for Lizzie...he then proposes marriage to her and she happily accepts. Everyone is stunned and Alan insists that its not a real proposal since all know Jonathan loves Tammy. Jonathan says that when he and Tammy found out about the pregnancy they knew it would come between them and that his place was with Lizzie and their daughter. Tammy confirms this and goes on to say that she saw the connection between Jonathan and Lizzie grow along with the baby. Jonthan whispers to Lizzie that it is just for show. Tammy goes into the hall, leans against the wall and cries. Cassie goes after her daughter to comfort her and says that Tammy has sacrificed so much.Tammy says thats what you do when you love someone. Their song "Can You Love Me With The Lights On?"plays and Jonathan and Lizzie slowly make their way to the elevator while staring at Tammy until the the doors close.
Tammy and Jonathan make love for the last time with him as a free man...Lizzie arrives and the three discuss that it's only until the baby is born and are they all in agreeance? Yes. The bogus wedding is set up with Tammy as the maid of honor..It is a painful ceremony for Tammy. Jonathan goes to find Tammy after the ceremony and insists he'll meet her later at Outskirts. Alexandra catches the two in a clinch,Tammy insists she's just congratulating the groom.Tammy inadvertently catches the bouquet she leaves and waits at Outskirts. Jonathan tries to leave the hotel room to meet her but Alan's henchman is out in the hall to make sure he stays there with Lizzie. He proceeds to get drunk. While out with Remy for dinner,Ashlee informs Tammy that Lizzie got what she wanted, that she had a thing for Jonathan all along. Lizzie and Jonathan show up at the same restaurant. Later Jonthan sneaks out to meet up with Tammy and they make love. It becomes apparent that Lizzie has fallen in love with Jonathan and does everything to keep Jonathan and Tammy apart even so far as hiring her own henchmen to stay outside their door so that Jonathan would think it was still Alan's man. It goes from bad to worse and Jonathan tells Tammy that he cant risk being caught with her as it may put his daughter's welfare in jeapordy. Remy continue's to "be there" for Tammy while she is depressed about not being with Jonathan. Meanwhile, Reva, while high on medicinal marijuana sets up a dinner with Alan and Beth at Towers. She tries in vain to get Alan to lay off the kids.Alan figures out that she's high and wrongly assumes that her and Jonathan are potheads..Tammy comes in with Remy and the Bauers and have a nice family dinner. Tammy goes into the elevator to go to the bathroom. Reva sees this and spills wine on Jonathans lap and tells him to go to the bathroom to clean up. As Tammy walks into the elevator Jonathan grabs her, says "Thank Reva for this" and kisses her. She pushes him away and says "Don't!" Jonathan is baffled and asks her what she means..She says she cant continue this way.He asks her if she's leaving him. He's married,it hurts too much. She knows its just for show but she feels like she's sneaking around with a married man and its just too painful for her to watch him pretend to be married to Lizzie. He feels that Remy has put these ideas into her head. It has nothing to do with Remy but being with Remy and is family is nice and normal, they have Bar-b-ques and play football. They have to sneak and steal moments in an elevator and until the baby is born she doesnt want to see him. Jonathan cries. Tammy walks out of the elevator into Remy's arms. Jonathan follows and goes over to his table to ask where Reva is..Billy took her home because she wasnt feeling well.Alan goes on to tell him that he and his mother are a disgrace. Jonathan ignores him and starts to walk over to Tammy's table.Beth stops him and berates him for ignoring his wife. Rick comes over to help out and Jonathan refers to Rick and Beth's affair. Rick pulls him out to the terrace and tells him to calm down. Tammy joins them and tells Jonathan that she asked him to stay away from her and Jonathan asks her "Do you want to see 'nice and normal'?" He walks back inside and calls everyone's attention. He pulls out a picture of Beth and Rick together. Tammy and Jonathan argue after Jon brutally reveals Beth and Rick's infidelity to Alan and Mel . Jon and Remy end up in a fight and the angst is out in full force as Tammy leaves Towers with Remy. Later a devastated Jonathan visits Tammy's balcony and begs her to not let go of what they have. Reva buys the old boathouse where Jon and Tammy used to meet and tells Jon she did that so that they could have somewhere to meet.Jonathan sets up a romantic picnic with candles and flowers and all of Tammy's favorites. She doesnt come, instead she signs the lease to rent an apartment with Remy and Marina. Jonathan goes on a rampage and wrecks the boathouse. Lizzie stops him.She calms him down and they discuss what they are going to name their little girl when she arrives. he jokingly wants to name her Bingo after his favorite dog from when he was a kid. they are laughing when Tammy finally arrives. Lizzie leaves to give them privacy. She informs him that she's living with Marina and........Remy. She tells him that what she said in the elevator still holds. She cant see him anymore. The next day Jonathan walks out on the birthing class leaving Lizzie there alone and sneaks up on Tammy and grabs her outside of Company and follows her home. She threatens to call security if he doesnt leave. He's not moving. She cannot have these feeling and she cant let him hurt her anymore. He says he would never hurt her. She says "You are.Every time you put your arms around Lizzie, when i hear her call you her husband, every time i think of you being tied to her forever through a child, that hurts!" She wanted that with him...he says he wanted all that with her too. She put on a good front and watched him get married to another girl but she cannot do it anymore...OK you dont have to , he says. Im leaving Lizzie! he declares. She walks over to him and touches his cheek, they make love. Jonathan gets a call that Lizzie was admitted to Cedars...Her blood pressure was high and she's facing possible Preclamsia. His guilt of being with Tammy shows on his face as he rushes to the hospital. The next day Lizzie wakes up and lets jon know that she and the baby needed him and he was nowhere to be found. He says they are ok now and he's there. She guesses that he was with Tammy and gets upset. She tells him that he's going to leave her after the baby is born and she'll be all alone. That he wished something had happened to the baby so she would be out of his life . He says "No,don't ever say that." Tammy arrives at the Hospital and walks into the room, The moniters on Lizzie speed up and Jonathan throws Tammy out of the room. Later he finds her at the boathouse. He apologizes for throwing her out,she says its alright.he says it isnt and she says "No your right it isnt.It hasnt been alright for a long time. You have to make a choice. Its the baby....or us" they argue and he blames her. "This is your fault! You pushed me into wanting that baby and you're a liar. You promised me you would stay with me no matter what and now youre gonna back out on me!" he cries. She cries and reminds him that she's losing something too. He's going to have a brand new family and she'll have nothing...He hates this but it's over...They walk out of the boathouse hand in hand.
