Ian Jonathan Leonard Trott (born 22 April 1981 in Cape Town) is a South African cricketer who has played domestic cricket in South Africa, England and New Zealand. Trott hit four first class centuries for Warwickshire during the 2005 season, bettering his previous career best to 152 against Glamorgan before taking it to 210 against Sussex three weeks later. His 1,161 first class runs of 2005 was the second-highest tally of the Warwickshire season, only behind Nick Knight. In all, Trott has hit 4,036 first class runs as of 3 February 2006, but has not yet been in international contention. He will qualify for England selection in August.
