Jonathan Flugel

Jonathan Flugel (born January 31) is the founding member and front man of the electro rock / punk band Prospect. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Jonathan's family moved to the United States (Miami, Florida) when he was just 8 years old. He attended Spanish River Community High School in Boca Raton, Florida. He worked numerous music related jobs including musical instrument retail, CD manufacturing, and recording. In the late nineties, Flugel did samples and turntables for the hip hop group; Ill Minded Prophet.

At 22 Jonathan left Florida and moved to Philadelphia, PA where Prospect began to build momentum. He currently resides in the Park Slope neighborhood of the New York City borough of Brooklyn, near Prospect Park.

After the girl he intended on marrying was a victim of sexual violence on a college campus, he became an activist for Men Against Violence Toward Women.

Jonathan's music has appeared on many compilations and on the 2006 release from Prospect titled "Prelude". He has collaborated with the 80's rock band Cinderella on a cover of The Animaniacs theme song, as well as done national tours with the Deftones, System of a Down and Incubus. His music has been featured on World Cafe Live.
