Jonathan Floyd began his career as a recording artist in Lexington, KY where he secured a spot on the Lollapalooza tour as well as spending time as an opening act for RUN DMC. Floyd decided he wanted to take his career behind the scenes and began working with super-producer Dallas Austin’s DARP/Rowdy Records as a Marketing Coordinator. After a year with DARP/Rowdy, he moved to Noontime, Inc. as Director of Marketing where he managed global marketing, sales and promotions, product development, product and project management, sales and sponsorship management, event marketing and customer relations. His success as Director of Marketing led to Mr. Floyd's additional position as Director of Operations. Under the direction of Noontime owners Henry "noonie" Lee, Christopher Hicks & Ryan Golver, Mr. Floyd helped lead the burgeoning production house featuring staff producers: Jazze Pha, Bryan-Michael Cox, Teddy Bishop, D.Scantz, Dent and others into a full-fledged record label. During his tenure, Noontime signed label deals with Epic Records, Motown Universal, Atlantic Records & Def Jam. During this same period Noontime Music had more songs on Billboard’s year end Top 100 (2000) than any other production house in the industry. Noontime was also home to a host of artist including: Jim Crow (Polow Da Don, Cutty Cartel & Mr. Mo), Cha Cha, Absoulute, Jazze Pha & Ashanti.

Mr. Floyd has worked on projects for a litany of recording artists including: Toni Braxton, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Jay Z, Lil Bow Wow, Sean "P-Diddy" Combs, LL Cool J, Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Mase, SWV, Jagged Edge, Too Short and Elton John, just to name a few.

After five years with Noontime, Floyd started his own music-marketing and consulting firm working with such acts as multi-platinum rockers Collective Soul, Dawson's Creek artist Ben Dunlap, producer Bryan-Michael Cox and Dove Award Winner/producer Donnie Scantz.

Currently, Mr. Floyd is developing Broken City Records, home to Alternative Rock artist Kevin Elliot & the Broken who just finished recording their debut album with Grammy nominated producer Luke Ebin (bon jovi, all american rejects), and was mixed by Dave Way. Mr. Floyd also heads up CBK Entertainment, a total music entertainment agency.
