Jonathan Ahdout

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jonathan Ahdout (born March 18, 1989) is an American actor.

Ahdout was born in Santa Monica, California to Iranian Jewish parents,[1] Yahya Ahdout and Jacqueline Hayempour; and now resides in Brentwood with his parents and siblings, Melody (born in Iran) and Daniel (born in California). He has attended Sinai Akiba Academy and Harvard-Westlake School.

Ahdout played Esmail Behrani in the film House of Sand and Fog, and Behrooz Araz in the television series 24. To many, Behrooz is a cult hero, with his strength of character and deft ability to defeat hitmen armed only with shovels. Little is known as to what has happened to Behrooz following him being handed over to a terrorist cell in a prisoner exchange. Perhaps he is now running operations for the fundamentalist movement behind the hijackings of America's nuclear power stations, perhaps he now works for homeland security, or perhaps he just misses his mother, the enigmatic Dina Araz... Coincidentally, he portrayed the son of a character played by Shohreh Aghdashloo in both roles. He has said in an interview that both of them were surprised to learn the other had been cast on 24.

He is currently in negotiations for the role of Amir in the movie version of the novel Kite Runner. Jonathan Ahdout is currently filming for his guest appearance on the tv show "The Unit", which is on CBS. - Daniel Ahdout, December 4 2006
