Jonas Staugaitis

Jonas Staugaitis (pronunciation (help·info), (May 20, 1868 – January 18, 1952) was the fourth President of Lithuania (1926), formally, for one day, as the head of Seimas. He renounced the office after a coup d'etat.
He was a doctor, having studied in Warsaw University. In 1919, he was elected to Lithuanian parliament (Seimas) as a member of the Peasant Populist Party. On June 2, 1926, he was elected the head of Seimas.
He is buried in Petrašiūnai cemetery (Kaunas).
