Jon Morby is the founder of Fido.net, White Label Communications Ltd, Fido Telecom and Redmail
Morby was one of the first staff at Demon Internet Ltd, as well as one of the key technical players at Interactive Investor International PLC and Head of European Operations at Redbus Interhouse PLC responsible for the roll out of Data Centres across Europe.

From 1985 to 2002 Morby was instrumental in the growth of Fidonet in the UK and Europe, running the Fidonet to Internet Gateway and running the UK Netmail and Echomail backbones.
Morby was also a lead developer on the Opus-CBCS Bulletin Board software, and a contributor to many Public Domain applications way before Open Source became a trendy way of developing software. A member of various IETF bofs and forums Morby has also been instrumental in the development of a number of Internet protocols and technologies.
