Jon Erpenbach

Jon B. Erpenbach (born January 28, 1961) is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the state's twenty-seventh senate district. He is a member of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin

Erpenbach was born in Middleton, Wisconsin and graduated from Middleton High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 1979 to 1981, though he did not graduate. Before being elected to public office, he worked as a radio personality in Madison.

He was first elected to the state senate in 1998 and reflected in 2002. He is up for re-election in 2006.

Erpenbach served as the Democratic Minority Leader from 2003 to 2005.[1]

Erpenbach was the author of Wisconsin's No Call List legislation that was passed and signed into law in 2001. The legislation was a forerunner of the federal government's Do-Not-Call Implementation Act of 2003.
