Jon Ekerold (born October 8, 1948 in Ramsgate, South Africa) is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He is remembered as being one of the few racers to have won a world championship without the benefit of a motorcycle manufacturer's support when he defeated factory sponsored Kawasaki rider Anton Mang for the 1980 350cc Grand Prix road racing World Championship. He rode a privately financed Yamaha with a Bimota chassis during his championship season.
