Jon Christopher Davis (born in Bonham, Texas) is a country music singer/songwriter. He has achievements have come not only through his talent as a singer, but also as a songwriter. He has built up a large number of contacts through writing songs for numerous bands and artists.
Jon Christopher Davis moved to Nashville to peruse his career and although he may not have had any huge hits with his vocals behind them, he did however write for a large number of artists and collaborate with names such as:
- Dolly Parton
- Hal Ketchum
- Tammy Cochran
- Sherrie Austin
- Billy Ray Cyrus
- Timothy B. Schmit
- Steve Lukather
- Radney Foster
- Stan Lynch
- Charlotte Caffey
- Dann Huff
- David Z.
- Vince Gill
Jon started out in Nashville, Tennessee performing, writing (Warner Chappell and BMG), and collaborating with the people mentioned above. He recorded his own songs for Warner Brothers, Sony and MCA Records while in Nashville. A lot of his work garnered much praise from the music community but never seemed to take off on the main stream.
Wanting to make music the way he always wanted to, he took his newly born daughter Claire Marie and his wife Kelli, and returned to Texas. “The older you get the more you realize just how important family and close friends are. With the birth of our daughter and the Texas music scene blowing up, it just seemed like the right time to come home,” says Jon. Within a year of returning to Texas he had signed a deal with Palo Duro records and created the smash hit "Lone Star Attitude"
