Jollix
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- Jollix should not be confused with jolix, the freeware Port of the BSD Net/2 system to the Intel i386.
Jollix is a free German i686 optimised GNU/Linux distribution in a LiveCD format. Unlike Knoppix, which is based on Debian, Jollix is based on Gentoo Linux. Like Knoppix, Jollix uses KDE for its window manager. When Jollix is installed on a hard disk, it can be updated via portage, the package manager of Gentoo Linux, and it does not require the long configuration that an installation of Gentoo usually requires.
