Joliette, Quebec

Joliette is a town is southwest-central Québec, Canada on the Rivière l'Assomption and is the seat of the Regional County Municipality of Joliette.

It was founded as L'Industrie by businessman Barthélemy Joliette.

According to the Canada 2001 Census:

  • Dwellings: 8,444
  • Area (km².): 22.81
  • Density (persons per km².): 782.1
