The word jokaroo is widely known for the website http://www.jokaroo.com which relates to Videos, Pictures, Movie Trailers and much more. The website was founded on February 8, 2001 by two teenagers based out of Toronto, Canada. It's amongst the leaders in the Entertainment Industry, recording over 5 million unique visitors per month and over 20 million page views.
On July 5th, 2005 Jokaroo entered into a large partnership with America Online to provide user generated content. The fine details of the deal were not disclosed but articles in Media Post indicate that Jokaroo.com in conjunction with iFilm.com provide AOL with content for use on http://comedy.aol.com under the Viral Video category.

Currently there are two name disputes that mislead visitors in their search for Jokaroo.com Jokaroo is a trademarked name within the USA and Canada and will protect its rights. The first is a name pronunciation; Jackaroo.com This is not how you pronounce Jokaroo, instead it is pronounced JOKE - A - ROO, which also causes another problem. Jokearoo.com also misleads visitors and does not direct to the official homepage.
