Here is a list of the normal enemies in the Kirby series of video games. They are the smaller foes Kirby faces throughout levels, and can usually be defeated with in one or two attacks.

[edit] Acchi

Acchi is a salamander-like enemy who spits out small fireballs, found in Kirby: Squeak Squad. He can be inhaled for the Fire ability.

[edit] Apollo

They don't do much in Kirby's Dreamland 3, but inhaling them will restore Kirby's energy. They are usually seen rotating around trees.

One of Meta Knight's henchmen in Kirby's Adventure who throws its axe at Kirby.

A bat monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 who waits for Kirby to come near so that he can suck his energy.

[edit] Balloon Bomber

A balloon/bomb monster from Kirby Air Ride. After attacked, he will explode. Inhale him for Bomb ability.

A missile-like monster from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror (Who re-appears in Kirby Canvas Curse) . Inhale him for Missile ability.

Image:Batamon-kss.gif A Kirby-resembling creature from Kirby's Dreamland 3. It is never fully explained if these are the same creatures as Kirby's race or not, considering that the official information is vague at best. However, it may be so, as most of the time Batamon are out of reach (making them a lot more docile than Waddle Dee) or getting themselves into dangerous situations. Oddly enough, it appears to wear mascara and lipstick.

A bat creature from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Batties usually fly in packs of 2 or more and they can become very annoying when close or passed because they follow Kirby and try to get him.

Benny is a little guy from Kirby's Dreamland that can flip, float around, and even fly.

A larger version of Waddle Dee from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

Image:Biospark-kss.gif Bio Sparks also have the same general body shape as Kirby, and are shrouded in a ninja-like cloak and helmet. They give Kirby the ninja ability. Bio Spark can be summoned as a helper.

An electric monster from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards that is often seen of chains and poles.

[edit] Blade Knight

Image:Bladeknight-kss.gif Blade Knights wear an awkward-looking suit of armour and have a single eye in the center of their bodies. They wield a sword so when Kirby inhales them he gets the sword ability. Blade Knight can be summoned as a helper in Kirby Super Star. They are believed to be the minions of Meta Knight in the anime, however, this is not evident in the games, especially since a special unlockable in Nightmare in Dreamland allows the player to play as Meta Knight and defeat them.

Image:Blado-kss.GIF A creature similar to Gordo, armed with blades around it's body. Appears in Kirby Canvas Curse.

Image:Blatzy-kss.png A cannon monster from Kirby's Dreamland whose attacks are hard to avoid. Replaces the regular cannon enemy in the Extra Game mode.

Image:Blipper-kss.gif A fish from Kirby's Dreamland and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror who is yellow and red and wears goggles. They will follow Kirby most of the time while in water but sometimes just swim around. They become a nuisance when in packs and sometimes will jump out of water to get him when he's are above them.

In Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, these block monsters hide amongst the star blocks and will attack if they are disturbed.

A cupcake monster from Kirby's Dreamland that shoots icing at Kirby.

[edit] Blowfish

A blow fish monster from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shard that can explode. Inhale him for Bomb ability.

These are simple creatures from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards that are easily inhaled.

[edit] Bobbin

A fish monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that is electrical in and out of water.

[edit] Bobo

Bobo is a flame-like monster that has shoes and walks. They never actually go out of their way to attack, and inhaling them gives the Burning ability. They appear in the games Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby Canvas Curse, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

A skull-headed monster from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. They are dangerous in air or land.

A ghost from Kirby's Dreamland that lurks around Castle Lololo in Kirby's Dreamland.

A boomerang-throwing jester from Kirby's Dreamland.

A green spiky creature from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that lurks on the top of caucuses.

A bouncing monster from Kirby's Dreamland 2 that bounces toward Kirby. In Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, they bounce along a set path.

A bouncing monster from Kirby's Adventure that bounces and can also throw stars.

[edit] Bronto Burt

Image:Bronto-kss.gif Bronto Burt is a pink fly that inflicts damage with kamikaze attacks.

[edit] Broom Hatter

Image:Broomhatter.gif A creature in a witch's hat that's made of straw. It sweeps all the time and just wants to keep the place tidy. However, it will sweep up Kirby if he gets in the way. In Kirby's Dreamland 3, the Broom ability can be aquired from it.

[edit] Bubblehead

Bubblehead is simply a bubble version of Hothead that appears in Kirby: Squeak Squad. He has bubbles instead of flames on his back, and blows bubbles instead of fire. He gives Kirby the Bubble ability when inhaled.

A monster from Kirby's Dreamland that can have any power.

[edit] Bumber

A monster from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shard. He resembles a recolored Sasuke.

[edit] Bun

Bun is an enemy in Kirby: Squeak Squad that looks a lot like a cross between a small dog and a bunny, and also looks like a pre-evolved form of Bow Fighter. His attacks involve him grabbing and throwing Kirby with his ears. Once inhaled, Bun surrenders the Throw ability. Oddly enough, he has the same name as the character Tuff in the Japanese version of the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! anime.

Image:Burninleo.gif Burnin' Leo have large eyes and a flaming headdress, and are, similar to Kirby, round shaped. They have a single blue gem embedded in the band of their headdress. They gives Kirby the "Fire" ability, and one can be summoned as a helper.

A fire bird monster from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. He can drop flaming rocks on Kirby. Inhale him for Fire ability.

A pile of rocks from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. He can roll down towards Kirby. Inhale him for Stone ability.

Wind-like fairies from Kirby Air Ride. Inhale Caller for Tornado ability.

Image:Cappy-kss.gif At first glance, Cappies look like bouncing or dancing mushrooms that move slowly along the ground. Occasionally they will throw their mushroom cap up into the air, revealing that they are cylindrical creatures with faces and arms resembling ancient Japanese haniwa statues. When Kirby uses his default inhalation ability on one, he will suck up its mushroom cap, leaving the uncovered cappy unscathed.In Kirby Air Ride they appear as enemies on multiple tracks, but don't have limbs.

A large number of Cappies appear as characters in the anime series Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.

Image:Capsulej-kss.gif A jet-pack wearing monster from Kirby Super Star. Inhale him for Jet ability. He can be summoned as a helper.

A pelican/stork monster from Kirby's Dreamland who flies around like Bronto Burt.

A maraca-wielding enemy from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. He can't be harmed by Kirby's abilities when he appears in the background. Either inhale or evade Chacha.

A bouncing fox-tailed blob from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

[edit] Chilly

Image:Chilly-kss.gif Chilly is snowman made of two large snowballs stacked on top of each other. It wears a pail on its head as well as having mittens for hands. Chilly attacks Kirby by creating icicles that fall on top of Kirby or freezing the air around itself. It doesn't move much, and when inhaled it gives Kirby the ice ability. Chilly can be summoned as a helper in Kirby Super Star.

A small ball-shaped guy from Kirby's Dreamland that tries to get Kirby with his tongue. Gooey might be based off him.

Climb resembles a pear with two green pointy legs. He spits explosives from his mouth. He is seen in Kirby: Squeak Squad.

A spider from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that hides in the tree waiting for Kirby to come near so that he can throw his web on him.

[edit] Coner

A conch shell monster from Kirby's Dreamland who is a very little threat. He can't move very fast.

[edit] Cookin'

A chef from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. By inhaling it, Kirby can cook other creatures in a pot to get food to replenish energy.

A penguin monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that will aid a snowball into rolling down a hill.

Cret is an enemy in Kirby: Squeak Squad that looks a lot like a Laser Ball riding on a cloud. He attacks with sparks and lightning.

These monsters from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards live in the desert levels. Inhale them once they open their mouths.

[edit] Gold Waddle Dee

Gold Waddle Dees are similar to Waddle Dees, except they're colored gold. They appear in Kirby: Squeak Squad.

Golems are large, egg-shaped stone creatures from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. At first glance they look like ordinary statues that blend into the background, but if Kirby gets too close they will come alive. Brown ones will squish Kirby by jumping on him, and will give Kirby the "Stone" ability when inhaled. Grey ones will punch Kirby, and will give him "Fighter". Yellowish ones will roll, and will give Kirby "Wheel". Some Golems can do all of these things; they will still give you "Stone".

Image:Gordo-kss.gif Gordo is a common enemy found in many Kirby games. It looks like a black ball covered in spikes, with two large eyes. They are invincible to all of Kirby's attacks, and even a very powerful one-shot ability doesn't affect them at all. They will typically move in a straight line, horizontally or vertically, bouncing back and forth between walls, presenting a simple moving obstacle for Kirby. Notably, in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, when Kirby acquired the Bomb+Needle combo power, he became an explosive mini-version of Gordo for a short period of time.

Distinct relatives of Gordo are:

Gordo also makes a cameo appearance in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, also as an indestructible obstacle enemy.

Phanphan's fiery counterpart from Kirby Air Ride with different feet. They fly with their ears. Inhale him for Fire ability.

A heavily armored knight from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Inhale him for Sword ability.

A monster from Kirby's Adventure and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. He will walk around and try to hit his enemies with fire. He will take a deep breathe and when exhailing, breathe out fire or he will spit out a fire ball ocassionally when you are far away. When you swallow these guys you too can breathe fire, but you cannot spit fire balls.

[edit] Kabu

Image:Kabu-kss.gif Kabu is a rock statue that resemblese an Easter Island moai. Their first appearance is in Kirby's Dream Land and also appear in most other games. They have the ability to disappear and reappear, spinning around and moving erraticly to hit Kirby and damage him.

A large, stationary Kabu plays a role in the Kirby anime. In that version, Kabu is an ancient and wise sage who can see the future. Kabu also serves as a hospital and protection for Warpstars and wounded Star Warriors like a big recovery room. There is more than one Kabu, and they're spread across the universe.

A crab monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3. He will throw his arms up trying to hit Kirby.

[edit] Kapar

A kappa-resemblin duck monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that will look friendly until it throws its hat at Kirby.

A little witch from Kirby's Deamland 3 that will hover on her broom.

[edit] Klinko

A monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that looks like it has a hut on its head.

[edit] Knuckle Joe

Image:Knucklejoe-kss.gif Knuckle Joe's first and only current game appearance was as an enemy in Kirby Super Star, where he walks slowly but executes his fighting moves quickly. He has a seperate body and head, with spiked hair held up in a bandana, and longer arms and legs, making him one of the most human-like Kirby enemies. His pointed ears also give him an elf-like appearance.

By swallowing him, Kirby can gain the Fighter ability, which allows him to knock out enemies with a punch and kick. Kirby can also create a 'helper' Knuckle Joe to aid him or be controlled by the second player. Knuckle Joe returns in the upcoming Kirby Wii game, where he still gives Kirby the Fighter ability when swallowed.

Knuckle Joe was a prominent character in the Kirby anime. (See: Knuckle Joe in the anime)

A strange horned creature from Kirby's Dreamland that awaits to attack Kirby.

[edit] Laser Ball

Image:Laserball-kss.gif A laserball monster from Kirby's Adventure that zips around until it shoots its laser at Kirby. In Kirby's Adventure, he gives the Laser Ability when it's inhaled. He also appeared in Kirby Superstar and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

[edit] Leap

A small, cute, blue creature with big lips and wings that usually flies in a circle. If Kirby touches it, the Leap will kiss Kirby. Once kissed by Leap, Kirby's energy drains out a bit.

[edit] Loud

Despite its name, this rain cloud monster isn't loud. It will rain while drifting.

[edit] Lovely

Image:Lovely-kss.gif Lovely is a flower-like enemy with orange petals and a smiling face that appears in Kirby Super Star. Lovely waits for Kirby to come near using her cute appearance, then attacks by covering her entire face with her petals, swinging her head down on him or his helper, capturing them like a Venus fly trap draining their health. The only way to defeat a Lovely is by attacking her head. Lovely also makes an appearance as a challenger in the Story Mode of the SNES version of Kirby's Star Stacker (Kirby No Kirakira Kizzu), which was only released in Japan.

A wizard-like monster from Kirby's Dreamland that will stand still until Kirby is under him.

[edit] Mace Knight

One of Meta Knights henchmen in Kirby's Adventure who throws its mace at Kirby.

A fireball monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 that will remain still until Kirby is under him.

A monster from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards that will pop out of the ground.

Maiga is a little green pile of goo appearing in Kirby: Squeak Squad that'll attack Kirby if he inhales it.

[edit] Mariel

A spider monster that will disguise itself as a ball. If Kirby inhales it, he loses energy.

[edit] Masher

An armored monster from Kirby's Dreamland 2 that throws his mace at Kirby.

[edit] Master Pengy

Don't be fooled by this penguin monster from Kirby's Dreamland 2, they can freeze Kirby.

[edit] Maw

These creatures from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards are found in clouds waiting for Kirby to come near.

[edit] Metal Guardian

A monster from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror who resembles a Wheelie alarm clock. Inhale him for Laser ability.

[edit] Metalum

Metalum is an enemy in Kirby: Squeak Squad who looks like a metal version of a Rocky or a Blocky. He rolls slowly to attack his opponent. He gives up the Metal ability when inhaled.

A small monster from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Inhale them for Shrink ability.

[edit] Mirra

A mirror door-like monster from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

[edit] Mite

These monsters from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards can be found in Rocky areas.

[edit] Mony

A shelled monster from Kirby's Dreamland 3 who isn't much of a threat.

[edit] Mopoo

A circular blue ray monster that only appears in one level of Kirby's Dreamland 3.

[edit] Mr. P. Umpkin

A monster from Kirby's Dreamland that lurks in Castle Lololo.

[edit] Mumbies

Mumbies are floating bandaged balls with glowing eyes, inspired by Egyptian mummies. They follow Kirby when he faces away from them (like the Boo's Mario faces). They cannot be inhaled, so they must be defeated with other methods. They first appear in Kirby's Dream Land. In the extra game in Kirby's Dream Land, Mumbies are replaced by Skullers, which are like Mumbies but much faster. Skullers resemble the Skull enemies in the Adventures of Lolo series as well as other Eggerland games.

Mumbies also appears in the Kirby anime. (See: Mumbies in the anime)

Dark Matter used Mumbies as well in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, as useless henchmen.

Needlous carry the Needle ability. They are caterpillar-like enemies that attack by rolling into a ball and rushing at Kirby.

In Kirby Super Star they can throw both bombs and boomerangs, which Kirby can copy as the bomb ability and the cutter ability respectively. The bomb throwing version can also be summoned as a helper. In some Kirby titles, a larger version, known as Poppy Bros. Sr.; appears, sometimes in pairs; as a bomb-throwing sub-boss.

If Kirby attempts to use his default inhalation abilities on one, it will drop its cutsey facade, turn brown, and pursue Kirby with its sharp teeth and only one eye. Occasionally they will pursue Kirby whenever his back is turned as well. If Kirby can dodge the scarfy long enough, it will stop and explode. In Kirby SuperStar, using the copy ability on Scarfy will yield crash ability.

Image:Shadowkirby-kss.gif Shadow Kirby is a Mirror Version of Kirby who is hidden in every world in Kirby And The Amazing Mirror. Basically, all he does is walk out from behind a wall and jumps, sometimes attacks, then goes back behind the wall. If Kirby eats him he will gain an ability depending on the weapon that Shadow Kirby uses on Kirby, but Shadow Kirby will always throw out a power-up before he is defeated.

Image:Shotzo-kss.gif Shotzo is an indestructible enemy found in many Kirby games. They look like simple, round cannons that can shoot in multiple directions. Shotzo attacks by blasting volleys of cannonballs at Kirby at intervals, usually tracking his position slowly. Because of their slow pace, they usually aren't hard to dodge. They sometimes drift down from the sky attached to parasols.

When attacked, they teleport to another area. If they are on solid ground or in the air, they will survive for another hit but if they appear in a wall, they will be defeated. Simirror can be summoned as a helper.

Image:Sirkibble-kss.gifSir Kibbles have roughly the same form as Kirby and wear large brown helmets capable of covering their entire bodies. When Kirby eats them, he gains the cutter ability. Image:Tac-mini.gifT.A.C. is a cat-like enemy who wears a black suit and has a green bag. He throws out his hand and steals the power Kirby's using and tries to run away with it. In Kirby Super Star, T.A.C. is capable of capturing partners. When swallowed, it gives Kirby the "Copy" ability. As a partner, T.A.C. is able to copy the abilities of enemies at will, making him similar to Kirby in his ability to copy enemies without actually turning into them, unlike all other helpers. When helper T.A.C. copies, helper's HP is replenished. In Kirby Air Ride, T.A.C. appears in City Trial and gives out power-ups if ramed by one of the player.

Ticks are simplistic round white creatures with beady black eyes that turn into red semicircles when it's hurt or angry. A red tip on the top of their head that can be extended as high as the ticks desire. When inhaled, Kirby gets the Needle ability.

Image:Waddledoo-kss.gifWaddle Dee's do not apear to harm Kirby intentionally. They just take little strolls around most of the worlds Kirby enters. If they touch Kirby, they'll make him lose one health point. Besides this, they are peaceful creatures. Waddle Dee's are cousins of Waddle Doos. They sometimes will gently float down from the sky carrying umbrellas and when Kirby swallows them, he can get the umbrella to use to attack enemies and also float gently down from a high place. Parasol Waddle Dee can be summoned as a helper in Kirby Superstar.

Image:Waddledee-kss.gifWaddle Doo fires harmful beams. Kirby obtains the beam ability when he copies a Waddle Doo. In Kirby 64, Waddle Dee is transformed into a Waddle Doo when he is possessed by Dark Matter. Waddle Doo is seen as the commander of the Waddle Dees in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. Whereas Waddle Dee has a tan face, Waddle Doo instead has a single face-sized eyeball in its place, as well as a pair of insect-like antennae on his head. In Kirby Super Star, Waddle Doo can be summoned as a helper. Waddle Doo is also playable in Kirby: Canvas Curse after the player either completes the game with every other character, or completes the Main Game mode with a copy of Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land or Kirby and the Amazing Mirror in the GBA slot of the Nintendo DS system.
