I don't remember now how I happened upon Wikipedia, sometime in the fall of 2003, but I do know that I was instantly intrigued by the concept and now find myself absolutely hooked.
Born, raised, and educated in the state of Michigan, I have also lived for extended periods of time (one or more years) in Scotland, Alaska, and West Virginia. With a degree in wildlife biology from Michigan State University, my professional career of the last 30+ years has focused primarily on the conservation of migratory birds. My avocational interests also find me chasing birds as a bird watcher or birder.
Thus far, my contributions to Wikipedia have primarily focused on another special interest of mine, American-style football, particularly college football.
