I am a sometimes professional palaeoartist who may or may not have strong opinions on palaeontological stuff occasionally. I'm also a bit versed in philosophy (especially the philosophy of science) and may also care about that perhaps.
I draw some, and will probably upload a lot of my drawings to Wikipedia maybe.
Trust me I'm a philosopher.
I have a bit of a website intermittently palaeo.jconway.co.uk.

[edit] Pterosaurs
My main aim here at the moment is to get the pterosaur articles at least up to the standard of the dinosaurs. In this I have so far failed miserably.
[edit] Taxonomy and Taxoboxes
I am interested in taxonomy, and advocate the PhyloCode, which might make me difficult and unstable. I do, however, see a reason to use the traditional rank-based system. In this I'm going to advocate using Benton's relatively uncontroversial taxonomy. At some point I think we may need to use both traditional and cladistic taxonomy; especially for extinct vertebrates, as vertebrate palaeontologists are generally moving toward using only cladistic taxonomy.
To be conservative is one thing, to ignore the way a science is done is counter-productive.

[edit] Ocean Liners
I have actually made a bigger contribution to ocean liners than palaeontological stuff. Pages I have started or made significant contributions to include: the Bremen, the Europa, the Conte di Savoia, and the Imperator.
