[edit] Merger

Grant is the only person ever named Honorary Mayor of Hollywood. Until someone else is appointed it is synonymous with him. As an office it is not notable. -Will Beback 23:05, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

They're two separate articles. The Mayor article should outline the position, the Grant article should inform on Grant personally and historically. Being synonymous isn't being the exact same thing.

I agree with the first statement. The only reason there is an Honorary Mayor of Hollywood is because of Johnny Grant.

I think Johnny should be merged, he has spent more hours of his life promoting Hollywood than anybody else.

Merge. There has been only one such mayor, and when Grant is gone, so the position will also go. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis
