[edit] Medal of Honor
The Medal of Honor, per Wikipedia's own article, was not issued to officers until 1891. In fact, Schofield's MoH citation indicates it was awarded on 2 July 1892. Not that it matters or that anyone cares, but genealogical records indicate I may be a 2nd cousin, five times removed, of the General. Duckecho 04:46, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] box?
For those who care about these information boxes, I think an inappropriate one was selected in this case. Schofield's contribution to history is significantly more important as a general than his brief tenure as secretary of war. For some other generals, such as George Marshall, I would agree, but not in Schofield's case. Hal Jespersen 21:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
