[edit] Sources, notability?

Hi! Does this information have any reliable sources that can be verified? Newspaper articles, ...? Has he recorded any albums, or anything else mentioned in WP:MUSIC? Someone keeps removing {{unsourced}} and {{notability}} tags from the article without comment; is that an indication that no sources or explanation of notability can be provided? Thanks! Yes, he has recorded two albums as a conductor. Both were recorded in the late 1990s. I'm going to get the exact details and then put them up. Also, he's been interviewed a few times especially with regard to his teaching. I'll put all of the deatils up when I get a chance. I confess that I was the one who removed the {{unsourced}} and {{notability}} tags - I had only just started on the article, and they were annoying me! I'm pretty new to this Wikipedia thing. Sorry if I caused alarm to you!

Welcome to Wikipedia! Please don't mind various clean up tags. They indicate that an article is work in progress, they point out how articles can be improved, and they attract other editors who specialize in different kinds of improvement (wikifying, categorizing, finding sources, etc). Though sometimes they can also indicate a problem with the article too. The albums are definitely a Good Thing; musicians have notability guidelines and albums work a long way towards that. Happy editing! Weregerbil 15:07, 17 August 2006 (UTC)#
I've found one of the albums John McCrory was a conductor on in my music collection, though it seems to be hard to find on the internet. I bought it through mail order a few years ago. The sleeve notes provide a good introduction to this very modest, but extremely talented man. Will the difficulty of finding the album on the internet mean that the article is not suitable for Wikipedia? Thanks!
