Talk:John 20
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For the May 2005 deletion debate on this article, see Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/John 20.
I do think keeping the full text is useful. One of the complaints at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/John 20:16 was that going verse by verse presented each one with too little context, something that is partially remedied by having the entire chapter one click away. - SimonP 14:56, May 7, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] POV
POV issues of this article is discussed at another in the series. See Talk:Matthew 1 ~~~~ 20:16, 9 July 2005 (UTC)
- Um, I don't see a discussion about POV there. JYolkowski // talk 20:18, 9 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] survey
For a (now finished) July 2005 survey about whether or not the full source text should be included in the article see Wikipedia:Bible source text.
There were 36 non-abstaining votes, and 3 abstensions.
The result of the survey was a 70% vote that it should not be included in the text, and should be removed in favour of a link to the text at wikisource. ~~~~ 07:52, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Merged without discussion
Please don't try merging this without discussion. Merging Bible articles has been very contraversial - and whilst there is some support for merging verse articles, there is none for chapter articles. If this article is merges, it should be into an article on a longer section of the gospel of John, as that is what this is part of. Attempts to delete this and other chapter articles have failed - and demonstrated a clear consensus to keep. Merging contraversial articles without discussion is bordering on disruption. --Doc ask? 13:46, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
