Johnny Hale

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johnny Hale (died April 14, 1881), also known as John Hale, was a Texas rancher and cattle rustler.

Hale was held responsible for igniting the Four Dead in Five Seconds Gunfight in El Paso, Texas, which resulted in the death of El Paso Constable Gus Krempkau. After gunning down Krempkau, Hale, was gunned down a few seconds later with a .44 Smith and Wesson revolver by newly appointed County Marshal Dallas Stoudenmire, who had effectively instilled fear into this violence-hardened town. Marshal Stoudenmire gunned down three men in less than 5 seconds. One victim, Krempkau, was killed by Hale.
