Johnathan Walton

Johnathan Walton (born May 26, 1974) is a four-time Emmy Award winning feature reporter for KHOU in Houston, Texas. He has worked on-air at KABB in San Antonio, Texas.

- Born in 1974 on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica in 1974, he was raised by his Jamaican-Lebanese mother and grandmother.
- Attended Prep School in Kingston, Jamaica
- In 1992 at the age of 17, Johnathan graduated from the Campion College, Jamaican high school extolling the virtues of a British Colonial education.
- Johnathan moved to South Florida on his own to attend Broward Community College.
- Graduated two years later with a Associate of Arts Degree in Television and Radio Broadcasting
- Moved to Orlando, Florida to attend University of Central Florida for two years.
- Finished degree at Florida International University in Miami with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcasting.

- Hired at KABB FOX 29 in San Antonio on June 5 2000.
- Had a 5 minute segment titled "Walton's Window"
- Year and a half later hired at KHOU for 11 News This Morning
- Orchestrated live hits at 5:55, 6:55 and 7:15.

Houston Chronicle Humorist Ken Hoffman criticizes Walton as a "class clown" but adds that he's "not funny." He says that Walton is the weakness of KHOU.[2]
