John Wilshire (born May 5, 1978) is a utility player for the Salford City Reds rugby league team. He has played for Papua New Guinea in 8 Test matches.

John is a Papua New Guinea test player who signed for Salford in 2005 from Leigh Centurions.

He has previously played for Perth, Melbourne Storm, Brisbane Easts, Penrith Panthers and St George Illawarra Dragons in the NRL before moving to Warrington Wolves in the Super League - and finally to Leigh Centurions.
