John W. Morgan

John W. Morgan is the mayor of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. He became the mayor in October 2000.

Morgan is originally from Glace Bay. During his term in office, he paid down the municipal dept and focused on road construction. In 2004, he won a large majority (80%) in his bid for re-election. [citation needed]

Morgan recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of CBRM against the Government of Nova Scotia alleging unequal per capita provincial funding for his municipality.
