John Ulett is an on-air radio personality in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born and raised near the city's Southside and is married with 3 children. John currently spends his time between sister radio stations KSHE 95 and KHITS 96. John is also the house announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium, a job that he had held between 1983 and 1990, and has held since 1993, including the previous Busch Stadium (1966-2005). Current Mizzou football and men's basketball announcer Mike Kelly filled in for Ulett in 1991 and '92.
Known as "The U-Man", John started at KSHE back in 1976 and is one of the most recognizable voices in St. Louis broadcasting. Through the years John has worked many time slots, but has primarily worked morning shows (e.g. the KSHE Morning Zoo in the 80's and his current slot at KHITS) along with his long-running lunch show and Sunday morning 'KSHE Klassic Show'. His current schedule is 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. at KHITS and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at KSHE, plus the Klassic show every Sunday from 8 a.m. until noon. He also serves as the sports director for KSHE.
KSHE celebrated his 30th year on the station by allowing him to hold an entire day's programming live from his house, stating that "we want him to do his show in his undies, probably still in his bed". It also gave him several rounds of golf at the Harbour Town golf course in South Carolina.
