John Taylor Cameron

John Taylor Cameron, Lord Coulsfield, 65, has been a Senator of the College of Justice since 1987 and now sits in the Second Division of the Inner House of the Court of Session and in the Lands Valuation Appeal Court. He is one of Scotland's most senior judges.

- Graduate of Oxford (Corpus Christi College) and the University of Edinburgh (LLB)
- Admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1960.
- Lectured in Public Law at Edinburgh University from 1960-1964.
- Appointed Queen's Counsel (QC) in 1973.
- Served as an Advocate Depute from 1977-1979.
- Chairman of the Medical Appeals Tribunal for Scotland from 1985-1987.
- Scottish Judge on the Employment Appeal Tribunal from 1992-1996.
- Before the Court of Session, was a judge in the Courts of Appeal of Jersey and Guernsey.
- An Editor of Scottish Law and Practice Quarterly.
