John States Seybold

John States Seybold (July 2, 1897 - February 28, 1984 was Governor of the Panama Canal Zone from 1952 to 1956.
He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1920. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Coast Artillery Corps, but later transferred to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He earned a B.S. in civil engineering at the Renssealer Polytechnic Institute in 1922. He served as Governor of the Panama Canal Zone from 1952 to 1956.
