John Scales

John Robert Scales (born 4 July 1966 in Harrogate) is an English former professional football player who played as a central defender.

He started his career at Bristol Rovers before earning a move to Wimbledon in July 1987 after just two seasons at his original club. He became part of the Wimbledon crazy gang that graced the top flight of English football and that won the FA Cup in the famous 1988 final. He later earned a £3.5 million transfer to Liverpool in 1994. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur from 1996 to 2000.

He won 3 caps for the English national team in 1995.
