John McSweeney is a musician and recording artist who has achieved relative popularity in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. His album sales have netted him a Double Platinum, a Double Gold, and a Gold award.

McSweeney can play several instruments in addition to the guitar, such as the clarinet, saxophone, fiddle, and drums. McSweeney has won the Queensland Country Entertainer Of The Year award ten times, and is noted to have given up his next nomination so that another performer could fill his place.

McSweeney also is known for his impersonations for such musical personalities as Willie Nelson, the Bee Gees, and Louis Armstrong.
