John Kear

John Kear is the coach of Super League club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats as a player he was a winger for Castleford.
He was the coach who led Sheffield Eagles to a remarkable Challenge Cup final victory over Wigan Warriors in 1998. He went on to be assistant coach at Wigan.
He was also coach of the England team in the 2000 World Cup.
He stepped up from assistant coach at Hull FC when predecessor Shaun McRae left to take charge of South Sydney Rabbitohs. He led the club to victory in the Challenge Cup in his first season. However just a year later he was sacked by Hull FC, he took charge of Wakefield in July 2006 where he steered the team clear of relegation with four wins from the last six matches of the season.
