John Jacob Rhodes III

John Jacob Rhodes III, (son of John Jacob Rhodes), who was a Republican Representative from Arizona, was born in Mesa, Ariz. on September 8, 1943, and is currently a resident of Mesa, Ariz.

Rep. Rhodes graduated from the Landon School in Bethesda, Md. (1961); graduated from Yale University in New Haven, Conn. (1965) with an A.B., and from the University of Arizona College of Law in Tucson, Ariz. with a J.D. (1968).
Rep Rhodes joined the U.S. Army in 1968, served in Vietnam, and left as a Captain in 1970. He was admitted to the Arizona State bar in 1968 and commenced practice in Mesa. Rep. Rhodes was a Republican district chairman (1972-1982), served on the Mesa Board of Education (1973-1976), and served with Central Arizona Water Conservation District (1983-1986).

Rep. Rhodes was elected to the One Hundredth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1987-January 3, 1993), and was unsuccessful as a candidate for re-election in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress.
