John Holloway - a British baroque violinist, currently based in Dresden, Germany. John Holloway is recognised as one of the leading violinists in the world, as well as a pioneer of the early music movement. He was the concertmaster for many years of Andrew Parrott's Taverner Players, as well as Sir Roger Norrington's London Classical Players. John Holloway has appeared on more than 100 CD recordings, and is the winner of one Gramophone Award and two Danish Grammy Awards.
John Holloway is the professor at the Dresden Conservatory. Between 2003 and 2005 he was the music director of the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, and between 2005 and 2006 he was the concertmaster and music director of a period instrument ensemble and orchestra, New Trinity Baroque.
