John Hastings is a fictional character on NBC's daytime drama, Passions. John was played by actor Jack Krizmanich from 2001 to 2004.

John Hastings is the son of David Hastings. He was off at college when Ivy Winthrop invited him to be reunited with his supposed birth mother Grace Standish. In actuality David had been hired by Ivy to break up the marriage of an amnesia suffering Grace and her husband Sam Bennett who was Ivy's first love and father to her son Ethan. John had no idea that David was conning Grace or that she was not his mother. When Sam & Grace's marriage fell apart Grace still believing the Hastings were family left with them and has not returned since. Now that Ivy's scheme has been exposed and Grace knows the truth it has yet to be revealed what John's reaction is to the news that Grace is not his mother.
