John Harbeson

John Frederick Harbeson (1888 – 1986) was one of the principals of Philadelphia design firm of Harbeson, Hough, Livingston and Larson. He was one of the main industrial designers working with the Budd Company on the Burlington's Pioneer Zephyr in 1934. His firm employed Paul Philippe Cret who also designed the exterior fluting for the train. Drawing on his Pioneer Zephyr experience, in 1936 he led the firm through the design project of the Burlington's Denver Zephyr.
