John Gruber

John Gruber (born 1973) is the creator of Markdown. He has a weblog called Daring Fireball, focusing mainly on technology, and specifically Apple Macintoshes and web-related issues. On April 20, 2006, he quit his job at Joyent to work full time on his blog.
