John Goray

John C. Goray (1912-1990) graduated from the Chicago Art Institute (date needed) and was a member of the Art Student's League, New York. He worked as an art instructor and had a great influence on many artists in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. His work can be seen at the Kenosha Public Museum, Kenosha, Wisconsin. Mr. Goray was a vibrant and energetic man especially in the expression of his art and He brought out the best in his students. Many artists consider him to have been inspirational in their careers. There was a show in Wisconsin on how other artists saw him: Goray as Other Artists See Him: Bayside Theatre Gallery, University of Wisconsin, Marinette, WI 1975. He is also known for his work for Disney doing the water color paintings for Thumper in Bambi.
