John Glascock

John Glascock (May 2, 1951 - November 17, 1979) was the bassist for the rock band Jethro Tull from 1975 until 1979. He died in 1979, at the age of 28, as a result of a congenital heart defect.
Glascock joined Jethro Tull after having played in Carmen - a British-American band that blended progressive rock with flamenco - from 1973 until 1975, when the band broke up.
Before Carmen, John Glascock had played with The Juniors (1962 - 1964), The Gods (1965 - 1969), Head Machine (1970), Toe Fat (1969 - 1970) and Chicken Shack (1970 - 1972).
He played on the albums Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die!, Songs from the Wood, Heavy Horses, Live - Bursting Out and Stormwatch.
