John Fleming (naturalist)

John Fleming (January 10, 1785 - November 18, 1857) was a Scottish zoologist and geologist.
Fleming was the author of The Philosophy of Zoology (1822 ) and A History of British Animals (1828).Fleming also wrote Insecta. In: Supplement to the fourth, fifth and sixth editions of the Encyclopae-dia Britannica, with preliminary dissertations on the history of the sciences(1821).
