John Elliot (song writer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
John Elliot, also "John Elliot VI" and "Jack Elliot", was a U.S. song writer, most notable for having written a Dinah Shore song It's So Nice To Have A Man Around The House. Elliot also wrote a book Riches to Rags to Riches.
It is claimed[citation needed] that Elliot wrote more songs for film than any other single song writer, both in lyrics and music. He was also a song writer for Doris Day and other singing actors of the period. He was noted for a number of expressions, including "people don't like people, they only like the way people make them feel."
