John E. Potter

John E. Potter is the current United States Postmaster General and CEO of the United States Postal Service. Since becoming the 72nd Postmaster General on June 1, 2001, Potter has led the Postal Service to record levels of service, efficiency, and financial performance.
Prior to becoming Postmaster General, he had been CEO of the U.S. Postal Service, a position he continues to hold. He also served as Vice President, Labor Relations, as well as a number of other senior operational positions.
Potter holds a degree in economics from Fordham University and earned a master's degree in management from the Sloan Fellows program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
