John Crawford (economist)

Sir John Grenfell Crawford AC CBE (April 4, 1910 – 1984) was an economist and a key architect of Australia's Post-War growth.
Born in Sydney, among the positions he held were Adviser to the World Bank, Washington D.C., Director, Australian Japanese Economic Research Project, and Chairman, Advisory Board, Australian Development Assistance Agency 1975-77.
He received the Australian of the Year in 1981.
The Australian National University annually awards the J.G. Crawford Prize.
