John Coughlin (footballer)

John Coughlin is a former footballer and current manager of Berwick Rangers.
Born in New York in 1963. He was formerly a player with Meadowbank Thistle F.C. and Berwick until injury forced him out of the game.
He was assistant manager to Tom Hendrie at Berwick, helping them win promotion in 1994, then they moved to Alloa Athletic where they performed the same feat in 1998. That year they moved to St Mirren and helped lead them to the championship in 2000. He was appointed manager in December 2002 but results faltered and he stood down the following November.
He took over at Berwick in May 2005. He won the Bells Manager of the Month prize for his teams unbeaten league run in August 2005 and also in September 2005.
